YPFDJ members in Saudi Arabia held 4th Conference last week in Riyadh city.

In opening remarks, Mr. Mohammed-Omar Mahmoud, the Eritrean Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, pointed out that the specialty of the conference lies on the fact that it is being conducted at a time when the nation is on active diplomatic engagements in a bid to put an end to the unjust UN Sanction resolutions perpetrated against it.

He further urged the youths to live up to the nation’s expectations through shouldering their due responsibility as regards the nation-building process and voicing staunch resistance against anti-Eritrea agendas on the basis of higher organization and awareness.

Also speaking at the meeting, Mr. Yemane Gebreab, Head of Political Affairs at the PFDJ, gave briefings focusing on the power of Eritrea and the People’s Front, objectives of the YPFDJ, assurance of identity among the youth, raising youth awareness, nurturing youth generation and the role of youths in safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty, among others. He also said that such successful conference attests to the power or [sic] organization, and indicated that the participants should clearly identify the strong sides and challenges, and thereby pursue a successful track.

The youths elected a 21-membered administrative board.
