The Organization of Eritrean Americans will hold a forum this coming weekend on ‘The Quest for Peace in the Horn of Africa Continues.’ The program is set for Saturday, April 12, 2014, from 3 to 5 pm, at the Eritrean Civic and Cultural Center, in Washington, D.C.

Headlining the program will be Bronwyn Bruton, the deputy director of the African Center at the Atlantic Council, a think tank based in Washington, D.C. She will talk on “Shifting Dynamics in the Horn.” Ms. Bruton has written and is published extensively on issues relating to U.S. foreign policy for the Horn of Africa.

Also speaking will be Dr. Ghidewon Abay-Asmerom, professor of mathematics at Virginia Commonwealth University, and a member of the Organization of Eritrean Americans. Dr. Ghidewon will speak on ‘Respect for International Law: a Catalyst in the Quest for Peace.’

Moderating the program will be Dr. Asgede Hagos, professor of communications at Delaware State University.
